Landys ("we", "us", "our") is a mobile application that helps independent landlords manage their properties, guests, and bookings. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create a Landys account, we collect:
- Email address — used for authentication and account recovery.
- Password — stored in hashed form; we never store or have access to your plain-text password.
- Profile photo (optional) — uploaded at your discretion.
1.2 User-Generated Content
Landys functions as a personal management tool. You may choose to enter the following data to organize your rental activity:
- Property details: name, address, capacity, area, price, type, and a photo.
- Guest records: name or nickname, and phone number.
- Booking records: linked guest, dates, pricing, number of guests, fees, and notes.
We do not verify, validate, or independently use the content you enter. This data is stored solely to provide the app's functionality back to you.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
We may automatically collect limited technical data to maintain and improve the service, such as:
- Device type and operating system version.
- App version.
- Crash logs and performance diagnostics.
We do not collect precise location data, browsing history, or device advertising identifiers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Landys app and its features.
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
- Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs.
- Communicate with you about your account (e.g., password resets).
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Landys service.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers located in the European Union (Google Firebase infrastructure). By using Landys, you consent to the transfer and storage of your data in the EU.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and hashed password storage. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We may use third-party services (e.g., cloud hosting, error tracking) that process data on our behalf and under our instructions.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
5. Third-Party Guest Data — Important Notice
Landys allows you to store guest information (names and phone numbers) to manage your bookings. This data belongs to your guests and may constitute personal data under applicable laws (including, but not limited to, the General Data Protection Regulation).
By entering guest data into Landys, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are the data controller of your guests' personal information. Landys acts solely as a data processor, storing this data on your behalf.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to collect, store, and use your guests' personal data (e.g., a legitimate interest in managing your rental business, or your guests' consent).
- You are responsible for complying with all applicable local data protection laws regarding the personal data of your guests, including any obligations to inform guests about how their data is used and stored.
- Landys does not independently access, use, or share guest data for any purpose other than providing the service to you.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Account Deletion
You can delete your account directly within the Landys app via Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, we will permanently remove your account and all associated data (properties, guests, bookings, and photos) from our servers within 30 days.
You may also request account deletion by contacting us at the email address listed in Section 9.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial record-keeping obligations).
8. Children's Privacy
Landys is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy
